If you are interested in pursuing a second degree through the dual degree program, contact a success coach or academic advisor. Before beginning the second degree program, make sure you review the catalog for the academic year in which you will begin study for the second degree so you can stay up to date. Each degree must be completed within five years of beginning study for that degree.
Current Dual Master’s Degree Pathways

MBA to MS in Management (Project Management)
If you earn an MBA from UMGC, you can earn a second master’s degree in management with a concentration in project managementÌý²¹²Ô»å save up to 12 credits through this dual degree pathway, as long as you start the second degree program within two years of completing the MBA.
Remember, you must complete the MBA program first in this dual degree pathway. To complete the second degree (master’s degree in management), you must complete all concentration courses and the capstone course, for a total of 24 credits.
Cyber/Data to MBA
If you earn a master’s degree in cybersecurity management and policy, cybersecurity technology, or data analytics, you can save up to 9 credits on an MBA through this dual degree pathway.
For this pathway, you will need to have taken the cybersecurity/data analytics degree first. To complete the second degree (MBA), you must complete all core courses and the capstone course, for a total of 21 credits.
Healthcare Administration to Health Information Management & Technology
If you earn a master’s degree in healthcare administration, you can save up to 15 credits on a master’s degree in health information management and technology through this dual degree pathway.
For this pathway, you will need to have taken the healthcare administration master’s degree first. To complete the second degree (health information management and technology), you must complete the following courses, for a total of 21 credits:

Health Information Management & Technology to Data Analytics
If you earn a master’s degree in health information management and technology, you can save up to 12 credits on a master’s degree in data analytics through this dual degree pathway.
For this pathway, you will need to have taken the health information management and technology degree first. To complete the second degree (data analytics), you must complete all core courses and the capstone course, for a total of 18 credits.
