Maryland High School Juried Art Exhibition

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: October 13, 2024

If you are a Maryland high school student who creates visual art, this competition is for you!

The UMGC Arts Program announces a call for entries for a statewide juried art competition. This exhibition is the visual arts competition of the year, so contact your art teacher today!

Each school may submit a maximum of five entries, from five different student artists. These entries should represent the best-of-the-best artwork from your school. All entries must be submitted with a high-quality image, which the jurors will use to select roughly 45 works from throughout Maryland for the exhibition. These works will be displayed in the Arts Program Main Gallery at UMGC.

Teachers will select the school’s student artists and serve as the main contact, working with the students to submit their entries.

Jurors: A panel of three jurors will be chosen from the local art community.

Submission Fee: FREE

Exhibition Dates: January 19–April 6, 2025

Opening Reception: Sunday, February 2, 2025, 3–5 p.m.
