Politics, Social Conflict, and the Racial Divide in the Art of Kevin Cole
Discover artist Kevin Cole’s engaging works, which explore the lives of African Americans in the United States. A member of the famed AfriCOBRA (African Commune of Bad Relevant Artists) collective, Cole addresses topics such as lynching, voting rights, and religion through African design elements in his mixed-media and sculptural pieces.
An internationally renowned artist, Cole’s career has spanned more than 40 years. He earned his MFA at Northern Illinois University.
