UMGC Global Media Center University of Maryland Global Campus to Hold Winter Commencement Ceremonies, Saturday, December 14

Social Entrepreneur and Baltimore Native Wes Moore and Maryland State Senator Paul Pinsky to Deliver Keynote Addresses; Ceremonies Will Be Available Live Via Webcasts

ADELPHI, Md. (Dec. 2, 2019)—University of Maryland Global Campus will hold its first winter commencement ceremonies under its new name—University of Maryland University College became University of Maryland Global Campus on July 1—at the Xfinity Center in College Park, Maryland, on Saturday, Dec. 14.  Approximately 2,000 students are scheduled to graduate during two ceremonies held that day.

ÐÒ¸£±¦µ¼º½ Commencement Ceremonies on Saturday, Dec. 14:

The two ceremonies will be available for viewing live via webcasts. To access the webcasts, visit www.umgc.edu/commencement

  • 9 a.m., Xfinity Center, College Park Keynote speaker: Wes Moore, chief executive officer at Robin Hood, social entrepreneur, combat veteran and author
  • 3:30 p.m., Xfinity Center, College Park Keynote speaker: Senator Paul Pinsky, Maryland General Assembly
