University of Maryland Global Campus Teams with Community College of Baltimore County to Host Free Event Featuring Career and Academic Advising, Networking Reception and “Capture the Flag” Cyber Competition
Adelphi, Md. (Sept. 17)—University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) is teaming up with the Community College of Baltimore County for an after-school event geared toward high school and current community college students, as well as recent graduates who are looking to further their education and anyone who would like to learn more about the field of cybersecurity.

The event, hosted by Mike Janke, CEO of Technotribe, will  feature a keynote Q&A session with Janke and Matt Dunlop, vice president and chief cybersecurity officer for Under Armour; a panel discussion about today’s cyber industry with employers and alumni of both ĐҸŁ±¦µĽş˝ and CCBC; a networking reception; an opportunity to meet with academic advisors to map out a path forward in your cyber education; as well as information about scholarships, including UMGC’s Maryland Completion Scholarship, which enables Maryland community college graduates to earn a UMGC bachelor’s degree for $12,000 or less.
