University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) presents the works of area artists at the 4th Biennial Maryland Regional Juried Art Exhibition, known as the BMRE, which runs from Dec. 8 through March 15, 2020, at the university’s Arts Program Gallery in the lower level of the College Park Marriott Hotel & Conference Center.
More than 200 artists from Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Northern Virginia submitted more than 550 works in response to the call for entries. In all, 67 works representing various mediums were selected for the exhibition by this year’s BRME jurors—artists Schroeder Cherry, Preston Sampson and Gretchen Schermerhorn.
Participating artists will be on hand Dec. 12 for the exhibit opening reception and ceremony when winners of the President’s best-of-show, Juror’s Choice, Award of Merit, and Honorable Mention prizes will receive their awards and discuss their work with attendees.
