We are excited to announce the Information Session schedule for .  to learn about workforce-relevant resources and student support services, such as virtual job simulations, tech career pathways, volunteer opportunities, companies embracing neurodiversity, and more.

These sessions will be held concurrently in a video roundtable format on September 27 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. ET. Below is the list of organizational representatives who will be live to discuss these unique programs and pathways with you.

Join this session to learn how can educate potential candidates on the impact and process to enroll in a registered apprenticeship. OpenClassrooms is a mission-driven company that makes education accessible to all. Their goal is to become the leading apprenticeship and reskilling provider worldwide. Every month, they offer fully-accredited online diplomas and free courses to students. Plus, the company is recognized as one of the best workplaces in France by Great Place to Work. UMGC’s student organizations aim to provide members with professional growth, leadership development, and a sense of community. They include academic-focused groups where students can engage with career-related topics, opportunities, and interest-based groups that provide students with ways to support and connect with each other through a shared purpose. Workplace Learning: Credit for On-the-Job Work

If you are an undergraduate student pursuing your first bachelor’s degree, you may be eligible to earn credit for upper-level courses by demonstrating new skills obtained on the job while studying at UMGC via Workplace Learning. During this session, you’ll learn how to enter a learning agreement with your employer/supervisor and a faculty mentor to apply classroom theory to a real-world professional project.

In addition to these information sessions, Virtual InternPLUS Fair attendees can visit employer booths, where company representatives will be available to chat live regarding current internship and entry-level opportunities from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. ET on September 27.
