UMGC Career Connection Information Sessions Available at the March 2024 Virtual Career Fair

We are excited to announce the Information Session schedule for .  to learn about workforce-relevant resources and student support services, such as virtual job simulations, tech career pathways, volunteer opportunities, companies embracing neurodiversity, and more. These sessions will be held concurrently in a video roundtable format from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. ET on March 15. Please note, registration is required to attend.

Administered by UMBC and funded by the State of Maryland, the program offers financial assistance to technology-based businesses as well as state and local agencies to hire more interns. Build Skills and Hands-On Experience Required for a Career in Cyber Security

The University of Maryland Global Campus Cybersecurity Competition Team is a powerful force, dominating cybersecurity games around the world. Our Cybersecurity Competition Team is composed of students, alumni, and faculty representing the cybersecurityÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýIT programs at UMGC. Through the Cybersecurity Competition team, students gain experience and build skills, learning collaboratively with fellow cybersecurity students and faculty, and networking with employers. To prepare for competitions, students detect and combat cyber attacks in UMGC’s Virtual Security Lab and work through case studies in an online classroom. The team competes in digital forensics, penetration testing, and computer network defense.

Accessibility Services maintains an encrypted database to ensure ADA, HIPAA, and FERPA compliance. Students can choose to disclose health conditions to faculty members or classmates, but Accessibility Services staff will not disclose this information.

Volunteer with the American Red Cross and Make an Impact in Your Community

Led by volunteers and financially supported by generous residents, businesses, and foundations, seeks to fulfill on a regional level the American Red Cross mission to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.
